What we wrote earlier has been confirmed. A representative of Israel, former football player Zuri Lugansk Joel Abu Hanna signed a three-year contract with Legia Warsaw. The player acts as a central defender.

Joel Abu Hanna, who has played for Zorya Luhansk since June 2019, was appointed to the Israel national team last year, and participated in the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the Nations League. Before that, he regularly played in the German youth national team. He had the biggest success with the U17 team, winning the UEFA Euro silver medal in 2015 (he played in all matches) and the FIFA World Championship, as his team at that time ended their participation in the 1/8 Finals.

This season, Hanna was the main defender of the third team in the Ukrainian League. He played 20 domestic matches and five matches in the group stage of the European League (his club finished third in the group against Leicester City, SC Braga and AEK Athena).
The most important period in his career (2008-2017) was that Hanna spent at Bayer 04 Leverkusen Academy, where he played, among other things, the greatest German football talent, Kai Havertz. Then a player in the back of the Bundesliga at 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1. FC Magdeburg and SC Fortunie Koeln.
The new player’s contract will be in effect until June 30, 2024.
