Goitrogens must be limited to the Hashemoto

Goitrogens are nutrients that block thyroid activity. These compounds may affect iodine metabolism, leading to low levels of iodine in the body. This disrupts the synthesis of thyroid hormones and causes an enlarged gland, i.e. I prefer. This is why goitrogens are also called goitrogens.

So unless there is significant hypersensitivity to cruciferous vegetables, people with Hashimoto can eat cruciferous vegetables, but their consumption should be limited to 3 times per week.

Gluten and lactose are allowed in hashimoto

Many myths about diet have arisen in Hashimoto’s disease. The most common of them is to ban products that contain Gluten and lactose. However, it turns out that this is an individual matter – it all depends on the tolerance of these components by a particular patient. Gluten and lactose intolerance may or may not be present in people with Hashemoto’s disease. Gluten intolerance occurs in about 5 percent. Hashimoto’s patients. People with this disease may also have lactose intolerance because they lack lactase, an enzyme that breaks down milk sugar, but this is not a rule. A doctor must decide to exclude ingredients that contain both gluten and lactose from the diet after conducting specialized investigations.
