NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti – Core graphics design, final specifications, ETH performance, and MSRP price potential

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti - Core graphics design, final specifications, ETH performance, and MSRP price potentialNext month, NVIDIA intends to introduce the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, which was originally scheduled to launch (or at least as indicated in unofficial reports) a few months ago, but it is finally decided to postpone the release date. We expect gaming performance to be very similar to that of the GeForce RTX 3090, due to the slight difference in specifications for the Ampere GA102 graphics chips used in both cards. The big unknown is the limited efficiency in Ethereum mining. NVIDIA announces stronger security, but so far no one has specifically set that this protection will actually work for such a long time. Meanwhile, an image of a graphics core appeared on the web, which will be used in this card. Plus, we got to know about the performance … in Ethereum mining.

New information has appeared on the network confirming the specifications of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card. We also learned about the graphics core, ETH mining performance, and potential MSRP price.

More information about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card has appeared on the web. They confirm the use of the Ampere GA102-225-A1 core (at least in the context of the eligible sample, according to recent sources, card variants with implemented cryptocurrency security should have a slightly different designation) with 10240 CUDA cores. Thus, it will be a card with roughly the same specifications for a pure GPU core as the current flagship in the form of GeForce RTX 3090. The biggest difference will be the use of VRAM at half-12GB instead of 24GB. This divergence is expected to affect the price more – according to unofficial reports, the MSRP price is expected to fluctuate around $ 1,100. Officially, the amount will be roughly centered between the GeForce RTX 3080 and the RTX 3090. However, given the current market situation, we realize that we won’t see such a price soon.

Interestingly, the network has also featured an efficiency … in Ethereum mining. This is also confirmed by the fact that, at a certain stage of production, qualified samples were not covered by an additional safety aimed at reducing the efficiency of ETH drilling. The offered variant of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has a base clock of 1365 MHz with GPU Boost mode boost capability to 1665 MHz. By default, Micron’s GDDR6X memory runs at 19000MHz. For performance testing purposes, it ran up to 21400MHz. With a card power consumption of 278W, the efficiency in Ethereum mining is 118.9 MH / s. Hopefully this time, NVIDIA will actually make more intense moves so that miners can’t take advantage of this card.
