Universities are preparing to return to full-time semesters. Students, doctoral students, non-teaching staff, and their family members can register for vaccinations.

According to Gazeta Wyborcza, Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, Rector of the University of Silesia, it is becoming more and more realistic to restore the university in its traditional form.
Students register for immunization
Registration for vaccinations for students of the University of Silesia opened on Wednesday afternoon (May 5). In twelve hours or so, 1,236 students, PhD students, university employees, and their family members enrolled. Those who don’t until Tuesday have until Tuesday to do so. Faculty members were vaccinated previously along with other teachers.
As a professor. Koziołek, given the progress of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccination process, appears likely to return to the actual university with the new academic year. If the number of cases continues to decrease, some contact classes will be launched by the University of Silesia in this semester.
Universities are preparing
In the case of the Silesian University of Technology, registration for vaccinations ended on Monday. 3,910 people registered for them, including 2,710 students, 316 employees and PhD students, and 884 family members, according to Weborkza. The Dean of the Silesian University of Technology has relaxed some of the epidemiological restrictions in effect at the university. As a result, starting Tuesday, staff and students have free admission to the university.
At the Medical University of Silesia, most of the students and lecturers were vaccinated earlier, along with a group of doctors. However, first and second year students will still learn here remotely, while older students and all English-speaking students – in mixed mode. The University of Economics will start registering for vaccinations on May 7 and will continue until May 11 at 15.30.
The decision on returning students to universities will be made depending on the epidemic situation and after talks with representatives of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and the Conference of Rectors of Universities of Economics.
