The new UEFA Champions League format from the 2024/25 season
At the UEFA Executive Committee meeting on Monday, a new UEFA Champions League format was approved, which will take effect from the 2024/25 season. 36 teams will play in the group stage (currently 32) – with each team playing ten matches (four more matches today).
UEFA Champions League 2024/25
– 36 teams in one group (divided for the purposes of drawing the table into four baskets according to the club’s transactions)
– Each team will play ten matches with different opponents (at home, back and forth) – for example, a team from the first basket will play two matches against their opponents from the first basket, three from the second, three from the third, and two from the fourth
The top eight teams on the table will qualify directly for the 1/8 Champions League final
– Teams ranked 9-24 play 1/16 Finals – Winners advance to the 1/8 LM Finals, losers play in the knockout stage LE
Four additional group stage places you will get:
1) The third team of the fifth federation in UEFA National Ranking 2018 / 19-22 / 23
2 and 3) the two best teams from the UEFA five-year classification for the club, which did not qualify directly for the LM group stage, but did qualify for the European Cups that season (i.e. at least to the European Conference League elimination)
4) Additional team from the thermal qualifying tournament
The team limit has been raised from one league in the Champions League to six.
Europa League and Europa League for conferences
In the group stages of the European League and the European Conference League, a new format will also be used (without splitting into groups) – it is also planned to increase the number of teams in the group stages to 36 EGP and 36 EGP in LKE. In LE, each team will play eight matches, in LKE – six.
Sunday evening, 12 clubs (Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Internazionale Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur. FC) announced the creation of the UEFA Super League – new European competitions, from It will be launched in the 2021/22 season or 2022/23.
There are 20 teams in the Premier League – 15 regular participants (including 12 founders) and five eliminations. Clubs must compete in two groups of ten (all-in-one, match and match-back) – the top three teams in each group advance directly to the quarter-finals, and teams from fourth and fifth in groups will compete in the barracks for the last places in the headlights. In 1/4 and 1/2 of the finals there will be matches and hashes, and in the last match on neutral ground.
The Premier League matches are held in the middle of the week, which will enable the team to play in the national competition.

Only Legia Warsaw is fit for this Premier League. You will replace every Real, Arsenal, Inter and everybody else. You will finally get appreciation because today even in Bebeduca she makes fun of such a good team.

But the balls, it’s a circus!
Now it will take a college degree, or at least a statistics course, to understand how these games developed

Ultimately, UEFA will fall like FIBA into Eurolegaue in basketball

Football has nothing to do with it, and it has been for years now. The changes they have made are only entertaining already thick wallets of surplus footballers, but also, and perhaps above all, club owners. ME and M, Superliga, LM, LE, LKE increase, football surplus is already huge today. Maybe let’s do me every two years or M, who’s behind it? Let’s close the league without relegation, but only the big clubs, let them play on weekends, every week Barcelona Real, Paris Saint-Germain City and so on, I didn’t buy it a long time ago and what do you think?

As for the Premier League, UEFA probably will not return anything. The clubs benefit both financially and prestigious. Same thing for the two players. In fact, it is the Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain matches that arouse the greatest passions, and LM is mainly watched for them. I doubt fans should boycott this particular movie. The only reason Superliga failed may have been their exclusion from the national team. Then it will show which players play for money only.
In addition, UEFA by creating a new format for games and playing more matches in the middle of the week is making it clear that it will not agree with the richest clubs.

This Premier League would be boring. Already the Champions League is boring. The same teams every season. It’s boring fast for the fans, like 8 times a season, there will be a real derby game for Barcelona or Manchester

@Mother, that’s paying off now, but it might change. If, for example, fans from Poland, the Czech Republic or Hungary will not be interested in such matches.

If UEFA were to look corrupt and greedy for Platini, or FIFA for Blatter (although not much has changed there!), It would be better to smash these creatures …. !!!

Mafia ax does not sleep. Wallets, pockets, and stuffed socks should now remain in place. I feel disgusted, more and more money and my head upside down. Let him play games only for the wealthiest and most ethical clubs (and of course for those called collectors). There is less and less football in all of this.

buli- You may be right, but what if the clubs of these countries will never play in cups and these matches will not be? If Polish footballers hadn’t kicked their heads, fans would definitely prefer watching Ekstraklasa than watching another Western League. As we know very well, there is no such thing.

Matek did not even assume that such clubs would enter, I would be a singles actor like Szczsny, who do not watch Juventus matches because I do not like this club naturally and I do not like Szczsny. In short, my point is that interest in this Superlig may be limited to a few countries, these coconuts will not earn you.

buli, my friends and I have stopped watching the whole LM simulator for many years, with 4 “champions” from Italy, England, Spain, Germany …

The game revolves around money withdrawn from Asians. It hadn’t been important to tradition, history, and attachment to clubs for years. China alone could generate a fan market many times larger than Europe. And they don’t have the traditions of their clubs and the national team likes to watch, buy tools, etc. The big clubs do not care who plays, as it was, for example, Barcelona or Real. The amount of money in circulation is enormous and you must wash it and store it because it does not only accumulate in your socks … it is only about money. The only chance was that UEFA and FIFA would eliminate rebellious clubs from their structures, national teams from the aforementioned federation were relegated from international competitions, as well as footballers who would play for Premier League clubs (Szczsny wouldn’t go to Euro, but he would do it) Be promoting). Unfortunately, this scenario did not work. There is a lot of money at stake and you can have bare rules. And there is actually an area of different games on different TV platforms that most people hardly watch (but pay a subscription because it is in the package) Now there will be two European Cup matches. Just one question, when is it over? For several years I knew I had given up on TV broadcasting and had a picnic in the family strip at my local club. It does not matter that he plays in the low league, and his magic is more exciting than Real Madrid against Park Howe. !! By the river

I don’t know if this is my age or an increase in business activity in sports, but I can’t look at European Cups anymore, even though I haven’t left anything on TV since the end of the 1970s. Now I prefer to follow her, even though there are far too many foreigners in it.

dyl – I don’t see most of them anymore, sometimes just when the pole plays, and epilogue because it’s a finale after all. Now they have increased the national LM limit to 6 teams. Maybe the Confederation League will be interesting this year …

For me, LM hasn’t been interested in me for a long time, despite the fact that I support Barcelona in it. It’s all out and now the Premier League? I asked who would see it ?
Gregor – April 19, 2021, 17:16:25 – * .leon.com.pl
This is. There is a lot of it. I also prefer to watch the first league all Real Madrid and Park, and I have a TV package and I have an English and German championship league, but if I count it more, I watched the matches from the first league and the first league. The league doesn’t matter, it’s important for my team to play.

In fact, it will be the Champions League and not ‘Cup matches’ yet. I like it, it’s more varied in matches because sometimes after drawing groups it’s already known in a row …

I haven’t seen LM in ten years and I won’t see that artificial creation anymore. It’s really boring to watch the same crew. No emotion, no decent standard. Because what’s the level here if everyone is under scrutiny? It’s a Polish league, with only richer teams. Complete emotional ajno.
